Then they brought up the nebulous interoperability, which they couldn’t describe it at all. Most of the research I’ve seen around interoperability is pretty garbage. We have to create accountablecare organizations. Looking back at the HIMSS conference, how are vendors approaching the market?

AccountableCare Organizations and Patient Centered Medical Homes are introducing new ways for us to provide better care not only for individuals but for entire populations. Health IT vendors are working hard to build the kind of technology that will realize true electronic interoperability.
