As I said in my previous writeup at an EHR user conference, I believe there’s no way for the culture of a company not to appear at their user conference. Here’s a quick summary of some of the announcements made at the eClinicalWorks conference along with some of our own commentary on what was said and shared.
Having attended multiple eClinicalWorks user conferences, one of their big efforts was to move all of their users to the eClinicalWorks cloud. eClinicalWorks had made a big investment in cloud and they wanted all of their users to benefit from the reliability, scalability, and benefits of being on the cloud.

But these health IT leaders feel far from empowered and choiceful as consumers in todays EHR vendor monoculture, Harm Scherpbier, MD, explains in his book , Unvendor. Growing Number of EHR Cloud Migration Projects – CereCore Peyman Zand, Chief Strategy Officer at CereCore shared his perspective on the latest EHR trends. Although there continues to be a lot of effort being put to EHR optimization projects, he is seeing a growing number of EHR cloud migration projects.
Telemynd , a leading behavioral health practice, has integrated its CharmHealth EHR with the Salesforce CRM platform to scale its delivery from coast-to-coast. We spoke to them at the 2024 CharmHealth user conference – Charmalot2024. But we wanted to continue using our CharmHealth EHR. They understand our business.

We’ve only seen a few times where something has dramatically changed the EHR product roadmap. The first time this happened was when the HITECH act and associated $36 billion of stimulus money was included to stimulate adoption of EHR software. In order to get access to that stimulus money, you had to use a certified EHR.

One of the great things about the HLTH 2022 conference is you get a wide range of topics across every part of healthcare. However, this one about cumbersome EHR really stood out to me. Reminds me of the EHR user conference recently where they said that simplicity is safety in healthcare.
