The annual eHealth conference is Canada’s version of HIMSS/HLTH/ViVE. It is the largest digital health conference in the country and attracts a who’s who from the Canadian healthcare ecosystem. A couple weeks ago, Oracle’s acquisition of Cerner closed and Oracle held an event to announce the vision for the The Future of Healthcare. Much has been written about Larry Ellison’s vision of what he called a “National EHR Database.” This new database would allow them to do this. That’s not inspiring.
