Clinician-to-clinician telehealth platform Avel eCare is making its Crisis Care services free to law enforcement officers. Data from Brightside Health showed all patient subgroups saw a decline in symptoms of anxiety and depression following enrollment in the company’s Crisis Care telehealth program.
Research from athenahealth about telehealth usage throughout the pandemic found that nearly 1 in 4 patients (24%) used telehealth specifically to avoid an in-person visit. In addition, nearly 1 in 3 patients used telehealth to manage a chronic condition, with 23% scheduling appointments and another 9% opting for ad hoc check-ins.
Michigan-based Baraga County Memorial Hospital and Baraga County Sheriff’s Department chose Avel eCare to support their Virtual Crisis Care program, which responds to calls for behavioral health crises. Arizona-based veterans’ living facility Waymark Gardens chose Iveda telehealth and fall detection technology.
