Roger Kamm, the Cecil and Ida Green Distinguished Professor of Biological and Mechanical Engineering, and his doctoral student Ioannis Zervantonakis are studying the mechanics of metastasis. Every few years, a strain of bird flu becomes deadly to us. This year, the strain is H7N9 and it's already taking lives in China. Forgive my skepticism, but China may report only 13 deaths , but the true death toll could be higher. I suspect that it's higher. So, what do we know about this bird flu?
