– Microsoft has announced advancements in cloud technologies for healthcare and lifesciences with the general availability of Azure HealthData Services and updates to Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare. The health industry generates an overwhelming amount of data, much of which is unstructured and inaccessible.
And that data will be generated from many sources, frequently siloed and decentralized which can prevent aggregation, mash-up, and analysis. In particular, the volume of healthdata from wearables, implantables, and other decentralized technologies is growing by 48% annually, according to a recent report from the Swiss Re Institute.
The AI models of tomorrow will be fueled by a complete picture of each individual patient this is powered by a responsible infrastructure with an output of safe, and secure interoperable data. AI-powered tools like ambient clinical listening can convert provider-patient conversations into clinical notes to add to electronic health records.
