Because CharmHealth leverages Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), Chart Note Assist also can pull in data from other providers, even if they don’t use CharmHealth. This shifts the physician’s job beyond that of notetaker so that he or she can focus on listening to and examining the patient rather than typing on a laptop.

This happened to be the same timeframe that Grahame was fanning the FHIR flames. So we joined forces and brought the concepts needed for XDS into FHIR®. So now, I take those FHIR based Resources and re-write the profile. This simplified API is based on the HL7 FHIR RESTful API. The basics are shown here.

IHE Connectathon did informal testing of Mobile access to Health Documents (aka #MHD - #XDS on #FHIR. MHD has a wide variety of deployment models, leveraging the simplicity of HTTP REST and the data model and interaction model defined in FHIR. For more on mHealth We had 9 different implementations testing at the Connectathon.

The ATNA Secure Communications is just the “Interoperability” way to get authentication done, you still must use that authenticated identity in an authorization decision. or better, and the use of TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA ; this is an “Interoperability” statement, not a security statement.
