Because CharmHealth leverages Fast HealthcareInteroperability Resources (FHIR), Chart Note Assist also can pull in data from other providers, even if they don’t use CharmHealth. This shifts the physician’s job beyond that of notetaker so that he or she can focus on listening to and examining the patient rather than typing on a laptop.
Areas of Consideration The CharmHealth Innovation Challenge welcomes submissions across six focus areas, broadly defined to encourage a range of disruptive ideas and solutions. However, we still fall short in comparison to other industries, particularly in terms of consistent patient information access, and the lack of incentive for industry collaboration to achieve smooth, interoperable data transfers. This week, we strike a balance between applauding our progress, yet refusing to rest on our laurels.

The developed markets are now moving to a new digital health model with increasing adoption of cloud and mobile- based technology in the healthcare system. But integration and interoperability challenges of existing traditional models will make this progress slower.
