The National Committee for Quality Assurance released a whitepaper this week exploring the root causes of disparities in virtual care access. The report , which grew out of an NCQA roundtable discussion on the future of telehealth, outlines existing barriers to equity and recommendations for improving care delivery.
A report released Tuesday by Foley & Lardner LLP found that the COVID-19 pandemic compelled state and federal policymakers to remove restrictions on and expand reimbursement for telehealth and virtual care at unprecedented rates. Massachusetts' new law also offers payment parity, but only for behavioral health services.
